Dinner at Eden, on Celebrity Apex.

If you are cruising on an Edge Class Ship, and are celebrating a special occasion, treat yourself to dinner at Eden!

Impressive wake views, quirky decor, an open Kitchen, watching the chefs work their magic and absolutely amazing food!

Book pre cruise on your Celebrity Cruise app to prevent disappointment. If you have a sea day, booking around sunset could be good. Once at sea, there was a perfect view of the sunset from Eden but of course with not knowing which direction the Ship will be facing , Thai isn’t guaranteed.

Booking whilst leaving port will allow for great views too! Today I booked for 20:30 on a Late May Day whilst we sailed away from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, by 20:30 we had a fantastic wake view of the Lock protecting Amsterdam, then the Pilot boat following the Ship to pick up their colleague.

In Eden you’ll have the choice of a tasting menu with wine pairing, or the A La Carte menu. No need to decide on booking, you can see what takes your fancy when you arrive for Dinner.

A la carte Menu – $102 pp
Tasting menu with wine pairing – $144 pp

This evenings menu included an Amuse Bouche, a goats cheese panna cotta. It was delicious, melt in your mouth, no over powering taste of goats cheese, it felt a very light flavour.

I chose to eat from the A La Carte menu at $102 pp. The tasting menu with paired wine does appear to be good value at $144pp. If you’re celebrating treat yourself! Though being alive, healthy , on holiday, celebrate that!

I didn’t do it because I don’t like Wine, so the pairing would be wasted on me. Hopefully one day companies like Celebrity will follow Virgin Voyages lead and have cocktail or zero proof options for pairing menus.

For my appetiser I ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, with creamy chipotle, piquillo, cucumber and Dill.

It was delicious. A very generous portion of crab meat. I probably could have done with a bit more creamy chipotle. I am sure if I had asked, this would not have been a problem. The waiting staff in all venues on board are incredibly polite, friendly and attentive. I am not a big fan of dill, but with it being quite a small amount of dill it doesn’t overpower the other flavours in the dish at all.

For my main course, I chose the Filet Mignon and mini short rib wellington with mashed potatoes, multi coloured carrots, mushrooms and borderlaise. It was delicious, my preference is Medium and it was cooked perfectly. Generous portions of meat both with the filet mignon and the short rib wellington.

For dessert I ordered the Lemon Meyer tart with a Graham crackers crust, sweet mountain huckleberries and sweet lavender cream.

This was as delicious as it is beautiful! Though having eaten in Eden a couple of times before, I have to say their desserts are always incredibly beautiful.

To be honest I couldn’t really taste any lavender, what I could taste was a combination of delicious lemon, chocolate and Graham crackers, which are a kind of sweet digestive biscuit. A dessert I would definitely order again!

Following dessert you can chose a coffee or tea to enjoy along side the tower of scrumptious petit four treats!

I’d advise treating yourself to a cocktail in Eden, you can either do this in the restaurant or upstairs in the Eden venue.

It is a very quirky cocktail menu with cocktails you will have never heard of! Ones made with flowers, some with vegetables and arriving at your table both beautifully presented and tasting delicious!
