Exclusive cruises will be hosted by Radio Times TV and film critic, Andrew Collins 

Princess Cruises has announced two of its Seacations this summer will be themed. The β€˜Mind, Body and Soul’ and β€˜Culinary Stars’ themed cruises will be hosted byRadio Times TV and film critic Andrew Collins, and will feature a star line-up of celebrity speakers.
MedallionClass ships Regal Princess and Sky Princess will offer a series of UK-only β€˜Seacations’ between July and September this year, sailing roundtrip from Southampton.
Details on the themed cruises, which will take place on short scenic voyages that depart over the weekend, are as follows:-

β€˜Culinary Stars’ cruise


Three-night Seacation, departing 10 September, 2021on Sky Princess.
Culinary experts will share their tricks of the trade during this foodie-themed cruise. Guests will hear from John Torode, a TV presenter, judge and celebrity chef, and Michel Roux Jr., chef-patron at London’s two Michelin-starred restaurant Le Gavroche and presenter for BBC’s Saturday Kitchen. Joining the line-up will be star of series 11 of Channel 4’s The Great British Bake Off, Lottie Bedlow.

John Torode
John Torode is best known as the co-host and judge of MasterChefCelebrity MasterChef & also John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen on ITV & is a regular face on ITV’s This Morning. John went back to his roots with the hugely popular TV culinary road trips – John Torode’s AustraliaMalaysiaKoreaAsia & Middle East for UKTV / Good Food Channels & Argentina for BBC1. Melbourne born chef John started his cooking career at the tender age of 16, before moving to the UK and joining the Conran Group before going on to run his own successful restaurants Smiths Of Smithfield & The Luxe. John is passionate about sourcing the best of British produce and his cookery books and writings have all received huge critical acclaim. John’s undisputable passion for the industry is infectious, as you’ll find out when you listen to his talk.

Michel Roux Jr.
A master of classical French cooking with a slightly lighter, more modern twist, Michel Roux Jr is the Chef Patron at one of the most famous restaurants in the UK, the two Michelin-starred Le Gavroche. He is one of the most loved and respected chefs in the industry and is part of the formidable Roux dynasty, who have greatly influenced the UK’s culinary landscape. He became a household name after becoming a judge on BBC’s MasterChef: The Professionals and presenting on Saturday Kitchen. Outside of the kitchen, Michel has completed the London Marathon 13 times, as well as written many cookbooks. Foodies can learn about his life and legacy on this once-in-a-lifetime cruise.

Lottie Bedlow
With a love of cooking and a deep-rooted passion for baking, Lottie was one of the stars of series 11 of Channel 4’s The Great British Bake Off. She has been fascinated by cooking shows from a very young age and describes herself at a β€˜perpetually frustrated perfectionist’. Her baking skills earned her the first Hollywood handshake of last year’s GBBO series and she also won the highly-prized Star Baker title. Beyond her love of baking, Lottie produces pantomimes, and in her spare time can be found playing computer games and practicing yoga. This talk will be a great chance to ask her about life inside the GBBO tent!

β€˜Mind, Body and Soul’ cruise


Three-night Seacation, departing 21 August, 2021 on Regal Princess.
Focussed on mindfulness and self-care, this cruise will feature a number of wellness talks and events. Guest speakers include NHS clinician and TV doctor Dr. Ranj; professional quizzer from ITV’s The Chase Jenny Ryan; and The Reverend Kate Bottley, known for her time on Gogglebox and Songs of Praise, as well as co-hosting BBC Radio 2’s Good Morning Sunday.

Jenny Ryan
Jenny is a professional quizzer who makes it her business to know things – and to share her knowledge with anybody who will listen. You’ll know her as part of the team of Chasers on ITV’s The Chase along with prime time spin-off Beat the Chasers. You may even have spotted her on University ChallengeMastermind and Only Connect. Before TV beckoned, Jenny was a behind-the-scenes writer and researcher on shows including QI and The Weakest Link. She’s also a talented singer and musician who plays the ukulele and was a finalist on The X Factor: Celebrity. Here’s hoping Jenny will impart some of her wisdom to us during this talk!

Dr. Ranj
A TV personality with a difference, Dr. Ranj balances being an NHS clinician, specialising in the wellbeing of young people, with his role as resident doctor on ITV’s This Morning, Dr Ranj:On CallSave Money: Good Health and Save Money: Lose Weight and his new series Extreme Food Phobics for W Channel. He’s also the co-creator and host of the BAFTA award-winning CBeebies series, Get Well Soon, and in 2018 he swapped his scrubs for sequins as a Strictly Come Dancing contestant. Off air, his expert opinion and advice can be found in publications and on websites, and he’s sure to help us appreciate the human body in a whole new light with his fun, engaging and inspiring talk.

The Reverend Kate Bottley
Originally from Sheffield, The Reverend Kate Bottley now serves parishes in North Nottinghamshire and is passionate about bringing stories of faith and belief to the widest audience possible. Kate wasn’t raised in a church-going family – in fact, she only started going to church because she fancied the local vicar’s son (they married in 1998 and now have two children)! Kate is known for Gogglebox, Songs of Praise and co-hosting Radio 2’s Good Morning Sunday. In her spare time, she loves watching telly and dancing. Kate will share her relationship with religion, making this talk a good one for the soul.
