If you’re considering dining at Enchanté on Disney Wish, there’s probably one question at the top of your list: is it really worth paying extra when your cruise already includes so much food?
Enchanté is Disney Wish’s most luxurious adult only restaurant, offering a French fine dining experience inspired by Lumière from Beauty and the Beast. It is quite a departure from traditional cruise ship dining, with tasting menus that turn dinner into an occasion in its own right.
But what does that extra charge actually get you? What is the food like? What should you wear? And is Enchanté worth giving up one of your included dinners for?
Having experienced the full Passion tasting menu at Enchanté as a solo diner, this guide covers everything you need to know before deciding whether to book.
Disclosure: I paid for my back to back cruises on Disney Wish independently. Disney Cruise Line invited me to experience Enchanté during my sailing. All opinions and experiences shared in this article are my own.
What Is Enchanté on Disney Wish?

Enchanté is an adult only French fine dining restaurant on Disney Wish, created in collaboration with chef Arnaud Lallement. His restaurant, L’Assiette Champenoise near Reims in France, holds three Michelin stars.
The restaurant takes its inspiration from Lumière, the charismatic candelabra from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, although the theming is far more subtle than you might expect. Rather than characters or overt Disney decoration, you’ll find an elegant restaurant with small design details providing a nod to the film.
Located on Deck 12, Enchanté is an additional charge restaurant and reservations are required. Unlike the rotational restaurants included in your Disney Wish cruise fare, dinner here is designed to be an occasion in itself, with multiple courses served at a leisurely pace.
If you enjoy fine dining and want to experience a more sophisticated, grown up side of Disney Wish, Enchanté offers something quite different from the ship’s included restaurants.
Arriving at Enchanté and The Rose
Your Enchanté evening can begin before you even reach the restaurant.
Located alongside Enchanté and Palo Steakhouse on Deck 12, The Rose is an elegant adult only bar inspired by the enchanted rose from Beauty and the Beast.

One of its best features is the seating positioned directly towards the floor to ceiling windows, allowing you to sit facing out to sea. It is an unusual design for a cruise ship bar, where seating is often arranged with the ocean to one side. Here, the view is deliberately placed in front of you, making the most of that wonderful expanse of sea.
If you can, arrive a little early and enjoy a drink here before dinner. The Disney references are sophisticated rather than overt, setting the tone perfectly for what you’ll find when you enter Enchanté.

Try The Rose Signature Cocktail

If you enjoy unusual cocktails, look out for The Rose, the bar’s signature drink.
During my visit, it combined Komos Reposado Rosa tequila, Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis Alexandre and Perrier Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé Champagne. However, it was the presentation that made it particularly memorable.
The cocktail arrived beneath a glass dome filled with scented smoke. When the dome was lifted at the table, the smoke tumbled out around the glass, creating a little piece of theatre before the first sip.
There are plenty of other drinks to choose from, so you certainly don’t need to order the signature cocktail. However, if you want to start your Enchanté evening with something a little different, The Rose is well worth arriving early for.
What Is Enchanté on Disney Wish Like?
Stepping into Enchanté feels quite different from entering many of the other spaces on Disney Wish. The restaurant is light, elegant and surprisingly understated, with references to Beauty and the Beast woven subtly into the design.

Before you enter the restaurant, look out for Lumière in the corridor. The much loved candelabra appears as a characterful wall light and makes a brilliant spot to stop for a photograph on your way to dinner. It would be very easy to walk straight past in your excitement to get inside, so have your camera ready.
Once inside, one feature immediately demands your attention. A spectacular chandelier cascades down through the centre of the restaurant, made up of dozens of glowing glass globes suspended amongst gold. It is a beautiful centrepiece and another clever reference to Lumière without resorting to obvious Disney theming.
Look a little closer around the dining room and there are more details to discover. Intricate gold panels incorporate rose motifs, continuing the Beauty and the Beast story in a much more sophisticated way.
The rest of the restaurant is equally elegant, with marble, gold detailing, soft blue tones and generously spaced tables creating an intimate and unhurried atmosphere.

Large windows make the most of the views out to sea, while the restrained design allows those views, and the food when it begins to arrive, to take centre stage.
Enchanté feels much more like an intimate restaurant you might seek out on land than a typical cruise ship speciality restaurant. However, those carefully placed Disney details remind you exactly where you are.
What Is the Passion Tasting Menu at Enchanté Like?

Enchanté offers a choice of dining experiences, and during my visit I chose the Passion tasting menu. It cost $125 per person at the time and included a sequence of dishes built around tomatoes, John Dory, Dover sole and Wagyu beef, followed by cheese and dessert.
This is where Enchanté becomes much more than simply an adult speciality restaurant on a Disney ship. Each course is carefully presented and there is a sense of anticipation as you wait to see what will arrive next.
Before the tasting menu itself begins, a selection of beautifully presented bites arrives at the table, followed by bread. These additional touches are worth bearing in mind when looking at the menu because there is considerably more food involved than the short list of courses might initially suggest.

The Passion Menu
The first listed course was tomatoes, miso and tomato water.

This was followed by John Dory with sea urchin and seaweed, before moving on to Dover sole with cabbage and Coteaux Champenois sauce.

The fish courses were particularly beautifully presented, with sauces and accompaniments forming as much a part of each plate as the fish itself.
The main meat course was Wagyu beef with celery and beef jus. The Wagyu arrived beautifully pink, accompanied by several different preparations of celery and a rich jus. It was a much more substantial plate than you might expect from the words “tasting menu”.

That is something worth knowing before you book. Although this is a multi course fine dining experience, you are not presented with a succession of tiny mouthfuls and left wondering what is for dinner afterwards. There is plenty to eat, particularly once you include everything that arrives before, between and after the courses listed on the menu.
Save Room for Dessert
And you really do need to save some room.
The final part of the meal becomes an occasion in itself. Dessert is followed by an impressive selection of petit fours, beautifully presented at the table in wooden boxes.

There were delicate tarts topped with gold details, glossy chocolates, citrus sweets and fruit jellies, turning the end of dinner into something you can linger over rather than simply finishing with a single dessert.

The presentation throughout the meal is meticulous. However, it never feels as though the appearance of the food has become more important than actually feeding you.
Enchanté is designed to be enjoyed slowly. Rather than thinking of it as simply dinner, allow an evening for it and enjoy the theatre of seeing each new course arrive.
What Is the Service Like at Enchanté?
Service is an important part of dining at Enchanté. Each course is carefully presented and explained as it arrives, which is particularly helpful when you are trying less familiar ingredients or combinations.
Adding to the French character of the restaurant, the serving team during my visit was French. Combined with a menu created in collaboration with French chef Arnaud Lallement, it helps create the feeling of dining in a French restaurant at sea.
The service is polished and attentive without feeling intimidating. You certainly don’t need to be familiar with tasting menus or fine dining etiquette to feel comfortable here. The team guides you through the meal, leaving you to concentrate on enjoying each course as it arrives.
Enchanté is also a lovely option if you are travelling alone. I dined here solo and was made to feel extremely welcome throughout the evening. If you are considering booking as a solo cruiser, don’t be put off by the intimate setting. Dining alone never felt uncomfortable or conspicuous.
The meal is deliberately leisurely, so avoid planning anything immediately afterwards. Give yourself the evening to enjoy Enchanté at its intended pace rather than watching the clock because you need to get to a show.
What Should You Wear to Enchanté?
Enchanté feels considerably more sophisticated than the main dining restaurants on Disney Wish, so dressing a little smarter feels entirely appropriate.
Disney Cruise Line currently recommends formal or semi formal attire for Enchanté, although polished dress casual attire is also permitted.
That means you don’t necessarily need to treat dinner like a traditional formal night. A smart dress, trousers with a blouse or shirt, or similar evening wear can fit comfortably with the surroundings while meeting Disney’s guidance.
The atmosphere is elegant without feeling stuffy, so choose something you feel comfortable wearing for a long dinner. As dress requirements can change, it is worth checking Disney Cruise Line’s current guidance before you sail.
How Much Does Enchanté on Disney Wish Cost?
Enchanté is an additional charge restaurant, so you need to factor the cost into your cruise budget rather than assuming it is included in your Disney Wish fare.

When I experienced Enchanté in February 2023, the Passion tasting menu was priced at $125 per person. My receipt also shows an $8 bottle of Saratoga still water, bringing the bill to $133, before an automatic 18% gratuity of $23.94 was added. The amount due was therefore $156.94.
I chose to add a further $20 gratuity, bringing the value shown on my final receipt to $176.94. Disney Cruise Line had invited me to experience Enchanté, as disclosed at the beginning of this article.
It is worth looking beyond the advertised menu price when deciding how much to budget. Drinks and any additional gratuity can increase the final cost, particularly if you decide to add wine or Champagne to your meal.
Disney Cruise Line advises that Enchanté carries an additional charge and that prices are subject to change, so check the price shown for your sailing when you book.
The important question is whether the experience represents good value for you. You already have dinner included in your Disney Wish cruise fare, so you are effectively choosing to pay extra for a completely different dining experience.
With multiple courses, additional bites, beautiful presentation, attentive service and an entire evening built around the meal, there is considerably more to Enchanté than simply the food on your plate. Whether that is worth the additional cost will depend on how much you value fine dining as part of your cruise.
Who Is Enchanté Best For?
Enchanté is likely to appeal most if food is an important part of your cruise and you enjoy dinner becoming an occasion rather than simply somewhere to eat.
You don’t need to be a fine dining expert to enjoy it. Each dish is explained as it arrives, so you can relax and enjoy trying ingredients and combinations that may be quite different from those you would normally choose.
It is particularly well suited to a special occasion, whether you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, or simply want one memorable evening during your Disney Wish cruise.
However, Enchanté won’t be the right choice for everyone. If you prefer more familiar food, want a quick dinner before enjoying the ship’s evening entertainment, or would rather spend the additional money elsewhere, you shouldn’t feel that you are missing an essential part of Disney Wish. There is already plenty of dining included in your cruise fare.
Enchanté makes most sense when the meal itself is something you are excited about. If the thought of spending an evening discovering a succession of beautifully presented French inspired courses sounds like a treat, you are probably going to love it.
How Do You Book Enchanté on Disney Wish?
If dining at Enchanté is important to you, it is worth trying to secure a reservation as soon as your Disney Cruise Line booking window opens on the DCL app.

Reservations can be made in advance through Disney Cruise Line, subject to availability. Your booking window will depend on factors including your Castaway Club membership level, so check when yours opens before you sail.
Think carefully about the time and day you choose. Enchanté is a leisurely experience, so it is best treated as your main event for the evening rather than trying to fit dinner between shows and other activities.
A sea day or quieter day in port can work particularly well. After a long day exploring ashore, you may not appreciate spending several hours over dinner quite as much.
If you cannot find a reservation before your cruise, it is still worth checking again once onboard in case availability has changed.
The most important tip is simply to give Enchanté time. You are paying for the whole experience, so choose an evening when you can relax and enjoy it without needing to rush somewhere afterwards.
Is Enchanté on Disney Wish Worth It?
If you enjoy fine dining, I think Enchanté is absolutely worth considering on Disney Wish.
Yes, you are paying extra for dinner when excellent food is already included in your cruise fare. However, Enchanté feels sufficiently different that you are not simply paying for another meal. You are paying for the whole occasion.
From arriving early for a cocktail at The Rose to the beautiful dining room, French service, succession of carefully presented courses and those final boxes of petit fours, the whole evening feels special.
The Passion tasting menu was also far more substantial than you might expect, so don’t assume fine dining portions mean you will leave hungry.
If you enjoy trying unusual ingredients, appreciate beautiful presentation and love an evening where the food itself is the entertainment, Enchanté is likely to feel worth the additional cost.
However, if fine dining isn’t particularly important to you, there is no reason to feel that you need to book it to get the full Disney Wish experience. There are plenty of excellent dining experiences already included in your cruise.
For me, Enchanté offered something genuinely different from the rest of Disney Wish and an experience I would happily choose again.
Final Thoughts on Enchanté on Disney Wish

Enchanté shows you a very different side of Disney Wish. Behind the subtle Beauty and the Beast inspiration is an elegant French dining experience where the food, service and beautiful surroundings take centre stage.
It is undoubtedly an indulgence, particularly when so much dining is already included in your cruise fare. However, that is really the point. You book Enchanté because you want dinner itself to become one of the highlights of your cruise.
You don’t need to be a fine dining expert, celebrating a special occasion or travelling as a couple to enjoy it. Arrive hungry, give yourself plenty of time and enjoy everything that comes with making an evening of it.
For the right person, Enchanté is much more than somewhere to have dinner on Disney Wish. It is one of those cruise experiences you are likely to remember long after you have stepped ashore.
