The newly announced autumn 2027 and spring 2028 programme includes seven special sailings from New York, alongside more departures from San Juan, two Panama Canal transits and new ports of call across the growing Disney Cruise Line fleet.

It will mark Disney Cruise Line’s first return to New York since 2023, with itineraries ranging from four to seven nights and including Bermuda, New England and Canada.

Bookings will open first to eligible Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club members from 31 August 2026, before going on general sale on 8 September 2026.

Disney Wish Returns to New York

Disney Wish will arrive in New York in late September 2027 following the ship’s inaugural European season.

Seven cruises will depart from New York, ranging from four to seven nights. Five will visit Bermuda, with three including an extended stay to give passengers additional time to explore the island.

Disney Cruise Line will also return to New England and Canada’s Atlantic coast for the first time in nearly four years. Disney Wish will call at Boston, Saint John in New Brunswick and Halifax in Nova Scotia during the autumn season.

I’ve previously sailed on Disney Wish, and her move to New York creates some particularly interesting options if you’d like to combine a Disney cruise with a few days exploring the city.

At the end of her New York programme, Disney Wish will reposition to San Juan, Puerto Rico, on a five-night cruise that includes a call in Bermuda.

From San Juan, the ship will operate a seven-night Southern Caribbean itinerary visiting Aruba, St. Maarten, Bonaire and Dominica, before repositioning to Port Canaveral on a four-night sailing visiting both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

More Sailings From San Juan

Disney Fantasy will also offer additional departures from San Juan during autumn 2027 and spring 2028.

In December 2027, the ship will operate a seven-night Southern Caribbean cruise from Puerto Rico, followed by a five-night Eastern Caribbean cruise ending in Fort Lauderdale.

Disney Fantasy will return to San Juan in late April and May 2028 for two further seven-night Southern Caribbean sailings, with ports including Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados and Antigua.

Two Panama Canal Cruises for Disney Magic

Two 14-night Panama Canal repositioning cruises aboard Disney Magic are also included in the new programme.

In November 2027, Disney Magic will sail eastbound from San Diego to Galveston, including Disney Cruise Line’s maiden call at Fuerte Amador, serving Panama City.

The ship will make the reverse journey in March 2028, sailing westbound from Galveston to San Diego and making another maiden call, this time at Colón on the Caribbean side of the Panama Canal.

These longer repositioning cruises offer a very different itinerary from the short Bahamas and Caribbean cruises often associated with Disney Cruise Line, with considerably more time at sea and the opportunity to experience a full Panama Canal transit.

Three Wish-Class Ships at Port Canaveral

Port Canaveral will have three Wish-class ships from November 2027.

Disney Destiny will homeport there for the first time, operating three- to seven-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Before moving to Port Canaveral, Disney Destiny will begin the autumn season sailing from Fort Lauderdale.

Following her New York and San Juan cruises, Disney Wish will also return to Port Canaveral for three- and four-night Bahamas itineraries visiting Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay.

Disney Treasure will continue operating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, alongside an eight-night Eastern Caribbean sailing and a six-night Bahamas cruise featuring two calls at Disney Castaway Cay.

Disney Dream will initially operate three- and four-night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral before moving to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027. From there, the ship will offer three- to five-night Bahamas cruises, together with one six-night sailing featuring two visits to Disney Castaway Cay.

Disney Fantasy will sail from Port Canaveral between September and November 2027 before operating from Fort Lauderdale for the remainder of the season. This will include the ship’s first cruise to Bermuda, an eight-night itinerary that will also visit both Disney destinations in The Bahamas.

California, Texas and Singapore Sailings

Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will both begin the season sailing from San Diego, with three- to seven-night Baja and Mexican Riviera itineraries.

Disney Wonder will remain in San Diego during autumn 2027 and spring 2028, with cruises including calls at Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and Catalina Island in California.

After completing her eastbound Panama Canal transit, Disney Magic will spend the season sailing from Galveston. Selected seven-night Bahamas itineraries will visit both Disney Lookout Cay and Disney Castaway Cay.

Further afield, Disney Adventure will continue sailing from Singapore, with new three- and four-night itineraries scheduled between September and December 2027.

Disney has also announced that selected Disney Adventure sailings between 31 December 2026 and May 2027 will include a new port of call at Langkawi, Malaysia.

Disney’s seasonal cruises will also return in autumn 2027. Halloween on the High Seas sailings begin in September, followed by Very Merrytime cruises during November and December.

When Do the New Disney Cruises Go on Sale?

Bookings for the newly announced cruises will open in phases.

Eligible Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club members will receive early access beginning 31 August 2026, with general bookings opening on 8 September 2026.
