A night away at the Aviator, a hotel by TAG.

A night away at the Aviator is a bit of a guilty pleasure for my husband and I.

It’s a beautiful hotel. A real gem. A stylish place, full of modern decor and furniture with an aviation theme.

Situated overlooking Farnborough airport, a private airport owned by TAG, it is definitely worth treating yourself to an airside room or suite to admire the little planes flying in and out!

A beautiful sunset overlooking Farnborough airport.

It’s June and this is our fifth visit this year… but that tells you a lot! It’s a fabulous hotel.

Comfortable, quiet, homely rooms. Delicious food, and fantastic service.

I have absolutely no complaints.

We treat ourselves to their dinner bed and breakfast rate, and mostly book direct with the hotel. We have booked once with Mr and Mrs Smith, as you get some free chocolates. However book direct with the hotel and you’ll get a ยฃ5 food/drink voucher.

We had booked an airside double , to enable the plane geek within to watch the occasional Learjet take off and land.

And treated ourselves to some goodies to nibble on!

Treats! Chocolate dipped strawberries and peanut butter cookies

And some lovely REN skincare goodies…

We thoroughly enjoy dinner at the Aviator Brasserie. The service is consistently excellent and the food is consistently delicious.

We’ve also eaten Sunday lunch at the Brasserie, Portions are generous and the food is scrumptious!

Scallop and chicken pre starter.

Rump steak
Chocolate mousse
Rhubarb and egg custard

Then we headed up to the Sky Bar for post dinner cocktails. Always delicious!

Here are a selection over our last few stays…. airmail cocktails are my favourite, but it would be rude not to taste a selection…

After dinner and cocktails , we are usually so full, it’s time to retire to bed, and catch some zzzz in the comfortable bed! We’ve stayed a few times when there is a Wedding or a party on, and each room has been incredibly quiet, you would not believe there are other people in the hotel!

Breakfast in the morning is lovely, a large selection of breakfast foods in the buffet including the option to order A’la carte breakfast. I can’t resist the eggs Benedict!

Check out is 11am, allowing you a relaxed morning prior to checking out.

You won’t regret booking a stay here, celebrating a special occasions, pre or post cruise or just because.

Enjoy!
